Save the Children
The Wokingham & Crowthorne branch is suffering from a vastly reduced number of volunteers which has a direct knock on effect of our ability to fund raise.
We rely heavily on our Christmas sales which start in earnest in October although the brochures are available from late summer onwards. We ask people to host sales in their homes inviting their friends and we deal with the orders etc.
We also have an annual quiz night which this year is this coming Saturday 23rd April at Woosehill Community Hall. There are just two tables of 6 left available.
We are luckily enough to have been granted a day of collecting at the Meadows complex on 7th May from 8am to 4pm and desperately need more volunteers for that as there are so many doors to stand by!
There is a national tennis tournament being run and the Wellington Sports centre is the nearest local club participating.
We tend to have a light few months from May through to August due to holidays etc and come back hopefully refreshed in the Autumn.
The AGM is a very casual affair held at the secretary's home in Hillary Drive, Crowthorne on June 13th form 7.30pm onwards. Anyone wanting to find out more about the charity as a whole and the branch in particular would be more than welcome. The level of help is up to the individual and would be hugely appreciated.
