Man killed in road collision - Sandhurst
A young man was killed in a road traffic collision in Foresters Way, Owlsmoor, Sandhurst, yesterday afternoon (2/4).
At approximately 12 noon, a white Ford Sierra Cosworth was travelling north towards Bracknell on the dual carriageway section of the A3095 (Foresters Way), having negotiated the roundabout at Magdalene Road.
A collision occurred between the Ford and a dark-blue BMW 3-Series travelling in the opposite direction. A red Nissan Almera then collided with the BMW.
The front-seat passenger of the Ford, a man in his early twenties, was pronounced dead at the Sandhurst scene. He has not yet been formally identified. The male driver of the Ford was taken to Wexham Park Hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries.
Two people from the BMW were taken to Frimley Park Hospital, and two people from the Nissan were taken to Royal Berkshire Hospital. All four had minor injuries.
The road was closed to allow access to emergency services and accident investigators until 3.45pm.
