Man injured in Sandhurst traffic collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously injured in a collision in Sandhurst on Friday 12 May.

At about 5.50pm, a collision occurred in Crowthorne Road, Sandhurst, near the junction with Moffats Close, involving a white Mercedes Sprinter van, a blue Ford Ka and a silver Chevrolet Matiz.

The male driver of the Matiz was cut out of his vehicle and taken to Frimley Park Hospital with serious head injuries. He has since been transferred to the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guilfdord where his condition is described as stable and not life threatening.

Anyone with information about the incident, who has not yet spoken to police, is asked to contact the investigating officer, PC Daniel Perry, at Taplow Roads Policing department, on 0845 8 505 505.

* A 44-year-old man was arrested on 12 May on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drink or drugs. He has been released on police bail until 23 July pending further inquiries.
