Attempted robbery in Crowthorne

Police are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery in Crowthorne.

At about 6pm on Monday 19 March, an 18-year-old man was approached by three youths in Napier Road, Crowthorne who asked him for cash. When he refused, one of the youths revealed a knife and grabbed his sleeve. He managed to run off, unhurt.

The first youth is white, in his mid-teens, 5ft 10ins, and of average build. He was wearing a black hooded top, black knitted gloves, brown trainers and dark blue tracksuit bottoms with a white stripe down each side. He was carrying a three-inch kitchen knife with a black handle.

The second youth is white, and well built. He was wearing a grey hooded top with a front pocket, black knitted gloves, dark tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

The third youth is white, and slim. He was wearing a grey hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

Man arrested following fatal Crowthorne collision

An 18-year-old man from Bracknell was arrested yesterday (5/3) on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following a fatal collision in Crowthorne.

The incident occurred at about 10.45am on Saturday 10 February, when a blue Vauxhall Corsa collided with a red Ford Fiesta at the Bracknell Road junction with Old Wokingham Road, Crowthorne.

A 16-year-old girl was seriously injured in the collision and died six days later.

The man was taken to Loddon Valley police station and bailed until Saturday 14 April, pending further inquiries.
