Neighbourhood update for Finchampstead, Crowthorne and Barkham

Here is the monthly neighbourhood update for Finchampstead, Crowthorne and Barkham by Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) Tony Smith:

Anti-social behaviour has been identified as a priority in recent Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) meetings, so increased patrols have been implemented in the region of Gorse Ride North and South and also Nine Mile Ride.

The speeding of vehicles in and around Finchampstead, Crowthorne and Barkham has also raised concerns. Since the beginning of July the Speed Indicator Device (SID) has been operating on various roads around the area to look at the issue.

The SID was used in the following roads last month -

Nine Mile Ride East , Nine Mile Ride West, Finchampstead Road, Longwater Road, The Village, Barkham Road. One hundred and six vehicles were found to be speeding on the operations and the highest proportion of owners came from the Finchampstead area.

Parking on pavements has been reported on Barkham Road and notices of impending fines have been issued to vehicle owners if they continue to abuse the parking regulations.

The Horsewatch scheme for residents with stables has been updated with new subscribers due to reports of suspicious people found around properties with horses.
