Exposure in Crowthorne
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a man exposed himself to a dog walker in Crowthorne on Thursday (15/10).
At about 5pm, a woman was walking her two black Labradors in woodland at Ambarrow Court, off Wokingham Road, on the border between Crowthorne and Sandhurst. As she walked, she was alerted by her dogs that someone was approaching from behind.
The woman turned and saw a man walking towards her exposing himself. She ran back to her car in the car park and called the police.
Sgt Graham Thorne, neighbourhood sergeant for Crowthorne and Sandhurst, said: "Although she was not physically harmed, the lady was left feeling very threatened and distressed by what she had seen.
"We are investigating the incident and have increased our patrols in the area, but we would like to warn other walkers, particularly women on their own, to remain vigilant and to report all suspicious behaviour to the police."
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Sgt Thorne, or any member of the Crowthorne and Sandhurst neighbourhood policing team, on 0845 8 505 505. If you don't want to speak to police or give your name, please call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
